Golf Course: A golf course is a set of at least 9 separate holes and
not more than 18 holes and may be of regulation, executive or par-3 length. |

Types of Golf Courses |
Daily Fee Golf Course ('DF'): A golf course that is privately owned but provides at least
limited public access and which may or may not offer memberships or annual passes. |
Municipal Golf Course ('MU'): A golf course that is owned by a tax-supported entity
such as a city, county, state, school, park district or other special tax district.
The course may be operated by the agency or by private enterprise under the terms of
a lease agreement. This course is open to the general public and may or may not
offer memberships or annual passes. |
Private Golf Course ('PR'): A golf course where play is restricted to
members and their guests. |

Categories of Golf Courses |
Just Golf ('JG'): A stand-alone golf course. |
Military ('MI'): A golf course that is owned by the military or armed forces. |
Park District ('PK'): A golf course that is located in a county/state/national park. |
Real Estate Development ('RD'): A golf course located in and considered an integral part
of a real estate development. |
Resort/Real Estate Development ('RR'): A golf course that combines the features of a real
estate development facility and a resort. |
Resort ('RS'): A golf course affiliated with a lodging component. |
University ('UN'): A golf course that is owned by a university or school. |

Types of Golf Holes |
Regulation Length Golf Course ('R'): A traditional length and par golf course that includes a
variety of par three, par four and par five holes; a 9-hole course must be at least 2,600
yards in length and at least par 33, and an 18-hole course must be at least 5,200 yards in
length and at least par 66. |
Executive Length Golf Course ('E'): A shorter or compact version of the regulation length
and par golf course that includes a variety of par three, par four and/or par five holes; a
9-hole course is 2,600 yards in length or less and a par 32 or less, and an 18-hole course
is 5,200 yards in length or less and par 65 or less. |
Par-3 Golf Course ('P'): A short course comprised solely of par-3 holes that average at
least 100 yards in length. |
Alternative Golf Course ('A'): A course with a non-traditional number of holes (other than 9 or 18); excludes executive or par 3 courses. |

Status of a Golf Project |
Proposed ('PP'): The project is contemplated and the owner is identified. The project is at the point
where the architect, civil and construction engineers might be selected, and the plans are in a state of
refinement. |
In-Planning ('IP'): The project is expected to start construction within six months. Specifications are being
written, and key product decisions are being made. Upon completion of the final plans and specifications the
owner will begin taking bids. |
Under Construction ('UC'): The general contract and subcontracts have been awarded. Work has started
and ground has broken. |
Completed/Open ('OP'): The course is now open and ready for play. |
On-Hold ('HD'): The project is currently on hold. |

Addition ('A'): A 9 or 18-hole addition to an existing golf facility. |
Addition/Combine ('C'): A 9-hole addition to an existing 9-hole golf course to
become an 18-hole golf course. |
New ('N'): New golf facility. |
Reconstruction ('R'): A golf course that is being reconstructed or remodeled. |
